MLK & Other Unsung Heroes of Civil Rights

Although admired for his intelligence, persistence, and undaunted courage, Martin Luther King, Jr. wasn’t the only one working strategically for justice.  There were others.  Marjorie Ingall, a writer for The Tablet Magazine, encourages us to teach our children not only about Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rosa Parks, but of others who fought and sacrificed during the Civil Rights Movement.  Marjorie Ingall’s article, “Seven Civil Rights Heroes to Teach Your Kids About,” offers personal stories of seven African-American civil-rights leaders who will entice and beguile our children.  “We still have work to do.”
