In January 2007 John Dominic Crossan presented four lectures over two days at the University of New Mexico Continuing Education Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The lectures were based on his book, “God & Empire.” Crossan opens the door on the real world of historical Jesus. You don’t get to see historical Jesus unless you see him against the backdrop of Rome’s Empire.
